We love God.
We love people.
A Baptist family at the foot of Buck Hill — gathering on Main Street to worship Jesus, grow together, and serve our neighbors here in northwestern Rhode Island.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to walk through our doors.
Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for decades or you’re just beginning to ask the big questions about life and faith, there’s a seat for you at New Hope. We’re a family of ordinary people — kids, students, working parents, retirees, folks new to Rhode Island and folks who’ve been here all their lives.
Each Sunday we gather to sing, to open the Bible together, and to be reminded that the Gospel is good news for the messiest parts of our week. You’ll hear teaching that takes Scripture seriously and tries to land in real life — what to do with worry, with grief, with parenting, with the way you spend Monday through Saturday.
Stephanie and I would love to meet you. Come as you are. We’ll save you a cup of coffee.
What to expect when you visit New Hope.
We try to make Sunday morning easy. Here’s what to know before you walk through the door — so you can focus on meeting Jesus and meeting people, not figuring out the room.
When you arrive
Park anywhere on Main Street or in the lot. A greeter will meet you at the door and help you find your way — including the nursery and kids’ class.
What to wear
Whatever’s clean and comfortable. Some folks come in a tie, most don’t. You’ll fit right in either way.
The service
About 75 minutes. A blend of hymns and modern worship, prayer, and a Bible-grounded message you can take home and actually use.
Your kids
Children of all ages are welcome in the service, and we offer a kids’ church during the message for younger children. Safe, vetted, joyful.
Old truths.
Living hope.
Our convictions sit squarely in the historic stream of Baptist Christianity — but they aren’t a museum piece. They’re the foundation we build our marriages, our parenting, our work, and our hope for the future on. Here are six of the most important.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God — and that it speaks with clarity and grace to every season of human life.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is coming again.
The Gospel
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received by faith in Jesus — not something earned by good behavior or religious effort.
The Church
We believe the local church is God’s plan for growing followers of Jesus — a family of imperfect people learning to love God and love each other.
The Mission
We believe every Christian is sent — to our neighbors in Pascoag, our state, and to the ends of the earth — with the hope of the Gospel.
Every Person
We believe every person is made in God’s image and deeply loved by Him. That conviction shapes how we treat each other, our neighbors, and our guests.
Church is more than Sunday morning.
The week between Sundays is where real life happens — and where real community gets built. Here are some of the rhythms and ministries we’d love for you to be part of.
Kids
Sunday School at 9:30 and Kids’ Church during the worship service. Safe, joyful, Bible-centered — your child will hear the Gospel in a way they can understand.
Youth & Young Adults
A place for students to wrestle with hard questions, build real friendships, and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus in the years that shape the rest of life.
Thrive · Young Families
A class built around the realities of marriage, parenting young kids, and keeping Christ at the center when the days are long and the years are short.
Men’s Breakfast
Bacon, coffee, and a frank conversation about following Jesus as men, husbands, fathers, and friends. Bring a neighbor.
Senior Luncheon
A monthly gathering for our older members and friends — good food, easy conversation, and a short devotion. We’d love to save you a seat.
Worship & Music
Whether you sing, play, or just love to lift your voice on Sunday — we’d love to help you grow in worship. Worship Nights run monthly.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord — plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
